July 14th
– We traveled 14 miles to Parry Sound today to do some shopping, top up our fuel, get a
pump out and water. The winds today have
been horrible. I had to use my skill
& talent (that’s what some people call it) to get onto a dock at Sound Boat
Works to top up my diesel ($1.15 / L) and then pull into a slip in Big
Sound marina so we can get a hard charge tonight (We’ve been anchored out every
night since we have left Krates). Maria has been busy doing laundry in our
washer/dryer for the first time. She also has fresh bread baking in the bread
machine that we’ll eat with beef stew that she made. Yum! We were going to walk into town today,
however it’s soooo hot outside that we've decided to put it off until tomorrow
morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be a high
of 20 degrees C thus it will be a much cooler day.
